“The” Shot

BenMacKenzie

This is not something I usually put up but I decided to break my own rule. So the first wedding I ever shot was at The World Forestry Center in hills of northwest Portland, Oregon. After the wedding was done I ventured down into the underground Max station (our mass transit rail system) and had a vision of taking a couple to take the very shot that is above. Even while meeting with Ben and MacKenzie for the first time I pitched this idea which, ultimitely, helped me land the wedding. Here it is at last! I thought it would be fun to put all of the 17 photos together in an animated gif to show just how much the couple rocked holding perfectly still and I have no idea how I was able to take this many photos in succession hand holding at 1/4 of a second.

It’s so fun to see something I had a vision of 5 years ago come to fruition! :)

Katelyn + Jason Wedding | McMenamins Edgefield Portland, Oregon

I absolutely loved shooting Katelyn and Jason’s wedding! It was my first time shoot at McMenamins Edgefield just on the outskirts of Portland Oregon and it did not disappoint.

Enjoy!

PS I understand we’ll be seeing the bride and groom at an upcoming Avett Brothers concert at the same location. :)
