Oh Josh and Ashley! There is quite a story attached to this wedding. A couple weeks before the wedding was to take place at the historic View Point Inn (and historic for historic reasons NOT because it was used in the movie Twilight :) it caught fire which was caused by the weekend wedding guests. Can you imagine? So they went scrambling to find a new venue and the good folks at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in downtown Portland Oregon stepped up and offered the host the event. Everything went off without a hitch and if no one was told about the craziness of finding the venue at the last minute no one could have be able to tell. Plus, being the music fans they are, having the wedding in a location that they had seen so much great live music at was actually really fun.

A gorgeous backyard commitment ceremony in the west hills of Portland Oregon with an Elvis impersonator, Portland food carts, a vintage car, a rowdy fun group of guys and a stylish couple. What’s not to love?

Elizabeth + David – Upstate New York Film Wedding Photography

I absoutely LOVED being apart of this wedding. It was held at the gorgeous Shadow Lawn in High Falls, New York which is about 2 hours north of New York City. The perfect setting, big red barn, and classic old home were all something out of a movie as was the entire event. It was a dream to shoot especially for a film photographer like myself. It also helped that Elizabeth and David were some of the coolest and easiest bride and groom to work it. I’d also like to give a big thanks to my second shooter Peter Mercado who stepped up big time and helped me out.

Cheers!
